John (300m) > butterfly leaf
I captured this backlit butterfly leaf while out in Yorktown on the battlefield. The majestic feeling I got when I saw this leag over the old dam works on Wormley Creek added to the shot. I dropped the f/stop to f/4.0 and fired off a couple of shots. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Sent another fall scene to my Current Projects/others folder
Fall colors,
John (300m) > Fall Reflections
Another from the park. My trip got canceled and we did a Tele-conf from the the office. My office was a lake by the time I left at 1. I got home just in time for power surges and by dinner lights out. We have power now, I have some cleanup from the storm and a lot of comments to answer. Thanks everyone for the comments, I have not seen them yet, but I have a number in my mail. I will get to everyone today Thanks for your patience. Enjoy this fall shot from the same shoot.
Have a great day and weekend
John (300m) > Bridge Reflections
I captured this while my wife & I were out for a walk. I loved the reflections on the water and the serenity of feeling this shot gave me. I really liked the feel of this shot. We were on one of the overlooks on the lake taking this shot.
I am on the road for the next 2 day so I will be late getting comments till I return. I hope to catch some when I get to the office today, but tomorrow we leave at 4AM so I expect it will be late Friday when I catchup with folks.

Have a great day, hope you are not getting soaked like we are. Not looking forward to my 3 hr road trip
John (300m) > Nov 9: Before the rain
I went to my favorite spot yesterday morning early with the intent of capturing a early fall morning on the water here. However mother nature had other ideas as it started to drizzle when I got there. I setup anyway and took some shots as I had drove 30 miles to get this shot. By the time I finished it was raining and I was getting wet. I was determined to get a few shots and this one shows the light leaving and the storm over the trees. The sun was behind me in this shot and I think that is the only reason I go this shot, Enjoy the weekend
John (300m) > Nov 8: Water drops & colors
I captured this shot in my own front yard yesterday. I was here waiting on the service guy while he was doing some system maintenance on my home HVAC system. I was looking at the rose in the front yard and noticed the leaves. I got down in the ground and took a few shot of the rain on the leaves. I really like the layout of this shot and the way the water was laying on the leaf leading your eyes away with all the colors in the foreground. Enjoy the weekend.

John (300m) > Nov 4: Fall's expression of Colors
I left work early yesterday as I was under the weather. I had an opportunity to capture these trees in their fall glory around here before I retired. I just happened to look out the back window when feeding the kittens and saw this so I grabbed my camera for a quick shot think of my POD. The morning sun just highlighted the great colors that were there for the viewing. Today is a new day and I am doing better and I am off to stand in line. Have a good day everyone.
