John (300m) > Flower are blooming First off, thank you to everyone and there wishes on the tribute photo to Bun-Bun. We greatly appreciate the comments. I captured this in the yard in the afternoon sun. I saw the bloom while cutting the grass and came back out after I finished to capture this and a few other shot. I really liked the colors and the feel of this delicate flower. My daughter planted these last year. They bloomed through the pile of leaves still there :) Happy Friday!!

John (300m) > Flower in yard Ligntning storm kept me off the net last night and from posting so I will be perusing today. I captured this in my front yard and got quite a few looks as I lay down in the gutter to get the angle I wanted to capture this shot. Hand held using the R1 flash setup and RRS brackets. Lost my one of my backup drives to lighting last night I discover when booting this AM, the one that never shuts down will not load now. Guess I need a new one. Not that I am hurting for drive space on my new machine with 4TB of storage. Just a pain to lose my RAW storage drive.

John (300m) > Nov 21: Flower in the Sun I was surprised walking and saw this flower still blooming along side a sheltered side of a home on my walk. I am sure it had partially to do with the nearby dryer duct that was passing warm air. I took 3 shots of this flower and I liked this one the best. I really l liked the way the sun made the red-orange of the pedals glow.
John (300m) > Nov 1: The last flower of the season I came home from work yesterday and saw this blooming in the yard and just had to take a shot. This late and I have flowers! I have to run as we meeting Hillary and Steve today. Have a great day. Thanks K, 4 pass
