John (300m) > Point of View
Shot after IDA using a 14-24 to get a different spin on the view I was seeing. I liked this presentation. You can tell it was low light as the sun was fading, ISO 1600 and f/2.8
John (300m) > Perspective
Not everyone goes out after a storm and gets on the ground to get a shot of the leaves cause the look cool. Shot just as the overcast sun was setting for the day. I liked the color and the saturation I saw from the window so i went out with the wide to capture this shot

Here is another shot I took yesterday Leaf,
John (300m) > Nov 18: Water Droplets
I found this leaf in the yard and I really liked the play of light on the leaf. The interplay with the features looked good and I was impressed with the shot. I had been walking around with my 70-200 on and the min distance with that lens is 5' so I was about 6' away from the leaf and still captured this shot. I did the conversion to B&W in PS and adjusted the setting till I found a point for the shot I liked. Enjoy and have a great day
John (300m) > Nov 8: Water drops & colors
I captured this shot in my own front yard yesterday. I was here waiting on the service guy while he was doing some system maintenance on my home HVAC system. I was looking at the rose in the front yard and noticed the leaves. I got down in the ground and took a few shot of the rain on the leaves. I really like the layout of this shot and the way the water was laying on the leaf leading your eyes away with all the colors in the foreground. Enjoy the weekend.
John (300m) > Nov 5: Rainy Days
I captured this shot after standing my 2+ hrs in line to vote yesterday. It was damp and dreary and captured the mood of how I felt as I went home to change out of my wet clothes so I could goto work. These leaves caught my eye as they lay in the gutter next to the car.
John (300m) > Nov 4: Fall's expression of Colors
I left work early yesterday as I was under the weather. I had an opportunity to capture these trees in their fall glory around here before I retired. I just happened to look out the back window when feeding the kittens and saw this so I grabbed my camera for a quick shot think of my POD. The morning sun just highlighted the great colors that were there for the viewing. Today is a new day and I am doing better and I am off to stand in line. Have a good day everyone.
John (300m) > Backlit leaves captured in Yorktown. Using the sun's natural lighting to backlight the leaves.
John (300m) > Early fall colors on Wormley Creek down in Yorktown.
John (300m) > Oct 5: Surrender Field
I went out to Yorktown yesterday looking for something different and possiably some fall colors. As you can see from the shot we do not have a lot of color yet. It still pretty warm here with the evenings in the low 60's to high 50's. It needs to get a little cooler at the end of the month for the leaves to start changing and show us some color. I set the camera up in the lot here a the field as I like the view and the conditions were great. The sky was so clear and blue that it made a great shot with out any additional work. 4 shot panoramic with the brown grass in foreground cropped. I put up two other fall color shots here FallSigh, it's Monday Have a good week everyone
