I took a small white bloom and did a bit of work on this in PS and obtained this result. Close to what I envisioned on the shot,
John (300m) > Nov 29: Mini Ornaments
My daughter bought these little ornaments to go on her small tree they are the size of a nickel, ~ 2mm. I thought they were cute an make a god shot so I snapped a quick shot or 4 :) I liked the close up detail of this one so I am sharing this with everyone. Tomorrow I will put up my challenge shot before I get on the plane for out week away.

Thanks everyone for the wishes on our family vacation!!! We appreciate the wishes and will say hi to Mickey for you. Boy do I have a LOT to do today :)
John (300m) > Nov 8: Water drops & colors
I captured this shot in my own front yard yesterday. I was here waiting on the service guy while he was doing some system maintenance on my home HVAC system. I was looking at the rose in the front yard and noticed the leaves. I got down in the ground and took a few shot of the rain on the leaves. I really like the layout of this shot and the way the water was laying on the leaf leading your eyes away with all the colors in the foreground. Enjoy the weekend.
John (300m) > Nov 5: The Hub
We had a power failure when I got home yesterday. My daughter meet me at the door to let me know there were no lights. As I had planned a studio shot for today I backup and thought again. It was raining and overcast so that limited me to the house. I saw my road bike when I was going in after opening the garage manually so my wife could get in.. I got my camera and I took several shot that I thought were good. I did a B&W of the front hub Front and a couple others of the rear. I had to reshoot the rear when the power came on as it was dusty and visible in the shot Also to note the bike is hanging from the garage ceiling in these shots. The posterized shot the hub has a halo at the top that is really dust :) Rear hub Not bad for a day when I had no shots to share. I did do some PS work on this shot to bring out the dynamics of the shot and the details of that rear hub
