John (300m) > close encounters Last in the series of Yorktown shots. I captured this while going down the Colonial Parkway to Williamsburg after leaving Yorktown that evening. I love the sky in this shot, it gives me the feel of the close encounters movie from the clouds. Thanks for all the comments, I was very late on Friday and did not get a chance and spent yesterday at the Hospital with my father in-law. Congestive heart failure. He is home today so we are hoping for the better. Blasted doc's prescribed some real expensive pills that a retired man cannot afford, we did not an issue, but what are they thinking! Just had to vent I will catch up as fast as I can today. I have a client shot in 40 min so it will most likely be later today. Thanks everyone very much and enjoy the remainder of the weekend!

John (300m) > Sunset Silhouette Taken in an area that was hit hard with Ida. I bike ride in this area and was scoping out my riding path to see if we could go down through here. This is a low lying area and floods. To drive yes, ride a road bike no. To much sand and debris still on the roads. But this sunset was very nice and the conversation I had with the folks in the house on the left was very nice. There house was elevated and no damage, but getting out with the high water was very hard. You get these wonderful shots of sunsets but at a price for living so close to the water. Have a great weekend
John (300m) > Last Catch Captured a fisherman coming in at sunset on the James River. 14-24mm ultra wide lens This was the last in the series I took with the rented lens before I shipped it back to BorrowLens.com The sun was out for a day and I was making the best of it. Just love the way the sky looks with an Ultrawide lens. Really impressed with this lens as there is little pincushion effect.
