John (300m) > Impact Sharing a water drop shot I took earlier this year. I have been trying to overhaul my website and have not finished. Right now just back from a morning get together. Now the cooking and cleaning (me) begins for later today Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I will be off the net most of the day so I catchup with folks later today. Hope everyone has a great day today!
John (300m) > Water Drop Experiment The rain the moved in yesterday is making it hard for me to get things done. First, thanks for all the nice comments on yesterday's Halloween shot. We all had fun yesterday with these shots :) I did manage to get my bike ride in, we did 39 mi and I did work in the yard after and I was wiped out after. I had planned on pictures before dinner but I faded. My daughter and friend went to Hallow O Scream @ Bush Gardens and had a blast. I woke @ 4AM with a killer migraine and it is still here. I took my pills so 50% went away byt this weather shift is killing me. It was 80 yesterday (unusual for us) and 55 w/rain today. The left shot is what my head feel like, IMPACT. I captured water dropping into a dish with strobes to stop the action and this is one of the many. The second is water and ink. The red is fountain pen ink the I was dropping by hand connecting with the drop coming up from the dish after impact. Water impacts like the 1st shot then rebounds up like the second in the blink of an eye. really cool to catch. A bit messy but fun, especially if you have cats that "assist" you with the shot :)
